Response to "miles to go"

I do feel America has miles to go from being antiracist, but I feel we are growing closer to that state each year. I see more and more mixed children and interracial marriages. I see the love flowing from different ethnicities, and it excites me. I have always tried to not be prejudice and discriminate, even though my parents may disagree under some circumstances sometimes. I feel the world will finally come to a truths and let everyone love one another. I can't understand the hatred from people just because someone's skin is a different color than their own. It angers me. But maybe this anger is what pentrates the hate, so I wish to not be angery. I believe we will reach sanity and hatred between races will eventually decease, but yes it will be awhile from now. I hate to say but the older generations teaching the younger generations their ways is keeping this interracial love from happening. I wish for the generations to accept change and understand that people are the same on the inside whether their skin is different on the outside or not. If we were all one color or person, where is the diversity in that? Diversity makes life interesting. Why try to get rid of it?
